Finella McKenzie has been appointed many times by the European Commission, from 1999 onwards, as an Independent Expert Evaluator, working as an individual and as part of a team, to evaluate research proposals submitted in the EU’s Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development, and to evaluate transport infrastructure proposals submitted in the EU’s Trans-European Network-Transport’s Annual and Multiannual Programmes.
Areas evaluated in the EU’s Framework Programmes include: maritime and intermodal freight transport, maritime safety, vessel traffic information systems, inland waterway transport and intermodal freight, transport security across modes, aeronautics and rail policy support, road safety, clean urban freight transport, research dissemination and science and society.
Areas evaluated in the EU’s Trans-European Network’s Annual and Multiannual Programmes include: ports and inland waterways and the infrastructure connecting them to Europe’s rail, road and waterway networks. |
