Co-ordinated the successful UK Bid to host the 2006 ITS World Congress in London, on behalf of DfT, DTI and TfL. Project Manager for the Virtual Interactive Visits Arena (VIVA UK), with live TV links at the World Congress to twelve UK control centres, including the Highways Agency’s National Traffic Control Centre, West Midlands Regional Control Centre, Traffic Wales Traffic Management Centre, Trafficmaster’s HQ, and several Local Authorities. Project required complex technical arrangements and substantial negotiation with all parties concerned. VIVA UK was judged an excellent part of the London World Congress. |
