As Economic Team Leader of the research on railway freight user benefits (FUB) for the Strategic Railway Authority – the Executive Agency responsible for railways in Britain - reviewed the (“worldwide”) literature on freight user benefits to establish the key attributes of rail freight transport choice and the appropriate market segmentations for rail freight demand. Participated in the stated preference surveys of freight shippers to determine the values of key attributes. Developed the methodology and guidance for the appraisal of rail freight investments. |
