Selected Achievements
- Taking Heathrow Express through the Parliamentary planning process, whilst solving design issues associated with adapting rail to airport needs. Establishing dedicated downtown check in and baggage handling in London for Heathrow Express.
- In association with the Highways Agency designing, building and financing the M4 Spur Bus Lane, the first on a motorway in the UK.
- Establishing the Heathrow Area Transport Forum in 1994 and chairing it to date. Writing the DETR Guidance on Airport Forums published in 1999.
- Writing 5 Year Airport Surface Access Strategies at Heathrow and Stansted between 1994 and 2008.
- Developing the first Airport Mobility Management plans in the UK for Heathrow and Stansted.
- Chairman Association for Commuter Transport 2001-2004.
- Managing Director Aberdeen Airport 1986-1990
- Colonel, Engineering & Logistics Staff Corps, advising the Ministry of Defence on relevant issues.
